Wow!

When I first read you ''author comment'' about this, I was expecting for something very different. Then I clicked the ''play'' button, and all the sound came to me. I have to say that I'm impressed. You did a wonderfull job with this song.

Excellent 10/10 & 5/5

RenoakRhythm responds:

Hey thanks so much. Awesome... 5 out of 5... appreciate that.

Awesome melody!!

I like this melody! Is very very catchy, and this can be a perfect intro for a longer collab trance song.

If does not bother you, I probably use this for my next mashup

Krussi responds:

Glad you liked it my man :P I'd love to have it in your next mashup, that'd be awesome :D
Thanks for the review and the "10"

And let me know when the mashup is complete, can wait to hear it ^^

Luminous Trance Track

When I saw that you finally uploaded this track, that was very (and well) advertized, I decided to listen & review it.

First of all, I have to say that I like, a lot, this track.

The bass fits always perfect with the track style. I like the start of the song, and how the melody slowly comes into it. The final part (from 6:52 to 7:55) is brilliant, you can 'feel the magic' of trance when the bass is alone with 2 notes, and suddenly, the bass dissapears at 7:19, to appear again just 2 seconds later with the same energy.

The main melody is good. Is difficult to define it. Probably Lamplighter was right, and the best description is in the title. 'The light'. There's a lot of light in the piano melody, and in the global sound that emerges from the track.

Personally, I miss some more darkness in the middle of the song (that's the reason why I gave you a 9 and not a 10)

What I mean by darkness is, again difficult to explian with words, but I'll try:

This song has, like a Mike Foyle's touch. Althogh the melody is very different, it reminds me the style of 'Mike Foyle - Shipwrecked (Mike's Broken Shore Mix)'. Both songs are very luminous (probably the piano gives that effect to the hole track).

What I mean by darkness can be understood, if you listen to the Sean Tyas' Remix of Shipwrecked. The Darkness of that track comes from the bass and from a 'darker' melody, that has like a kind of fight with the luminous piano melody. That happens not only in that song, there are many examples of that in other remixes of Sean Tyas and other deejays.

I miss something like that in your song. I know that is very difficult to do that, and that not everyone likes that darkness in a trance track, so this is not a critique. It's only an idea for the future if you, or someone decides to do a remix of your song

Summarizing: Great track, with a luminous flowing piano melody.

Karco responds:

Hello Airprogressive, looks like you're giving me a real review this time. :)

I was worried about the bass, not only is it extremely simple, but it's an almost raw Nexus preset - from the Factory presets "Bass" section. D: Looks like it did the job pretty well, for you, and for many others.

Mike Foyle - Shipwrecked, and its remixes, are some of my all-time favorite Trance tracks, so it's interesting for me to see someone compare them to my track here. I hear that melody you're talking about there - thing is, I don't like to just copy an idea from another track onto mine. That may just have been the synth I was missing though, so I'll look into it and maybe I can make a reupload if it turns out good enough. :O

Thanks for the nice review and ratings Airprogressive! Glad you liked it.

Sounds nice!

I like this loop. I already noticed that I like most of your songs!

If you are still wondering about what style use in order to remix this track, then stop wondering it just right now! :D

Made it trance. Trance music rules the world, did you notice that?

I made a mashup today (based in Kazm0's track, Satellite) and submitted it in my NG page. I didn't see many mashups here in NG. If you're thinking about doing some remixes, you also should think about doing a mashup.

I don't know why people don't do that kind of stuff more often

(this songs stills playing in loop and I like it more each time)

:)

Krussi responds:

I'm flattered :D
Yeah, my first intention was to make it a trance remix, but when I started to do the drumbeat, it fellt hiphop-ish, and then I just went with that and made it a loop :P
But it'll probably be a trance remix, cause: I heart Trance! :D
Gonna check out your mashup :D

Thanks for the long and delightfull review ^^

Not Bad

The rythym that goes from 0:14 to 0:27 is very catchy. The bass can be improved & the pad or synth of the beginning & the ending also needs to be removed or changed.

But I liked the concept of the song. If you build this song based on the sound that goes from 0:14 to 0:27, something nice can appear in newgrounds :)

Good luck & keep it up!!

Simsarmy responds:

Yeah, I can get a catchy tune... But I usually can't work with it into a progressive song. I might go back to this one.

WOW!!

The progression is perfect!! It's not long. It comes slowly to the fantastic break at 1:46, so you can appreciatte is much better. Awesome rythym. I like how you turn back to the first style at 2:17

A suggestion? make an original mix of this!! :)

You can paste at 3:04, the part that goes from 1:46 to 2:17. And then, at 3:35, put a new melody with bass, based in the sound & strings & bells that goes from 2:02 to 2:16. After that new melody, you can paste the part that goes from 2:17 to 3:07 to finnish it. I think it would sound very professional.

I'm not sure If I'd explained well. I hope so, & also hope this can help you

Kazmo responds:

PERFECT?! :D

Glad you think so!

"make an original mix of this!!" I think you mean make it longer. It's pretty original. ;]

I understand what you're tying to say, and will see to it and see where it goes.

Thanks for the review and suggestions!

Wonderfull

Some moments of this track are just wonderfull. The transitions are very well done, & the melodies are catchy. Nothing more to say. awesome!

Keep it up!!

heartless1298 responds:

Thanks dood!!! Hopefully you'll buy my CD when it's out in either December or January! If you want me to, I can PM you about it when it's out.

Impressive!!!

Excelent work!! I have the official remixes of this track, and I can honestly say that this could be one of them. This sounds great, and even more modern than the official remixes. I love the transition at 2:30, and the radio voice effect at 4:00 and the rythym that cames after that.

Awesome

You can be proud of this track.

Kazmo responds:

I'm pleased to hear you saying that this song could be amongst other great remixes by well-known artists! :D

Glad you liked it!

I am proud, I'm proud of everything I make. :]

Thanks for the review!

Relaxing...

I really love this song. The piano gives an special touch to it, and it fills everything. When listening to this, you don't miss any other instrument. It brings an indescriptible feeling to the audience :)

Great job!

Please send me a PM when you make more songs like this!!

:)

Phyrnna responds:

Thank you very much for enjoying my song.
I'll be sure to keep you posted. ^_^

-HFX ^_^

Yeah finnish this!

Why not? you can also use the first part of this loop (the part that goes from the beginning until 0:24) like a first melody of one track, and the use another different melody as the main melody of that track.

But with some development this could be an original mix

mateya responds:

im glad u like this song, i will try to finish it and will let you know to see what u think! thx for a review

Prepared for launch in 3, 2, 1.. Go!
